General Discussion / Sources of Free Tokens
« on: August 28, 2017, 02:12:40 PM »
There are now many Initial Coin Offering (ICO) being introduced in the deregulated market almost everyday. The sky is the limit since anybody or a group of people can plan and eventually make some money out of their ideas. We are entering a new stage for crowdfunding and this is via the ICO platform. And many of these ICOs are also giving away free coin/token so people can promote their project. I am sharing here three of my sources of free tokens.

1. FREE 75 ATS TOKENS ($10 worth)!

2. FREE 100 DAT TOKENS

3. FREE 25 TOKENS

Bitcoin Discussions / Speculators on Bitcoin
« on: August 28, 2017, 02:08:36 PM »
I think we all belong to this category as of now. We are hoarding Bitcoin as much as we can and we are not using it to buy or transact anything because we are sure that its value can soon be rising to an astronomical level. We are then treating Bitcoin more as an asset and less like a currency.

And I don't see something wrong with it because Bitcoin is now considered as a digital gold...and we don't use gold to pay for our everyday expenses, right?

Are you also an speculator just like me and the many?

Disscussion / Scam Coins Are Everywhere
« on: August 24, 2017, 10:52:50 AM »
Scam coins are everywhere and there would be more coming as it is now easy to introduce another coin or token and many scammers are taking advantage of the situation to make some money and then eventually abandon when they offered.

There would always be scam artists in any industry and cryptocurrency is no exception and soon cryptocurrency can be on the top of the list where scammers are conglomerating.

Please do your own due diligence when entertaining the idea of opening up your wallet to buy any ICO or existing coin. Just because there are many people buying it does not make it a scam-free coin as history is filled with people who were victims en masse.

Bitcoin Discussions / Bitcoin: A Headless Chicken
« on: August 24, 2017, 10:44:33 AM »
There can be another hard fork coming for Bitcoin this November and the whole Bitcoin community right now is again on the debates on many aspects of that coming fork. I then realized that Bitcoin is becoming like a headless chicken running all around and while very much alive it is also sowing confusion, fear and dip in value from time to time.

We have to realized that the market is not reacting to the hard fork itself but the way many influential Bitcoin people are acting and speaking in relation to the November fork. There is right now a battle of opinion and ideas as to the right things to do when Bitcoin will fork. People are pushing their ideas and even accusing other camps of shenanigans.

Ethereum will also have its own fork but instead of its value going down it is going up because it is a united community when it comes to fork...no contentious factions are showing up ready to battle anytime.

But then again, this is now becoming a part of the Bitcoin experience...as Bitcoin and its people are very dynamic.

Disscussion / Choosing an Alt: Three Criteria
« on: August 24, 2017, 10:35:53 AM »
I have been buying some alternative coins for the last 2 months (they are usually just small amounts) and I usually used this three important criteria in choosing which can be the best among the rest.

1. The project idea whether it is really viable in the long run and if there is a market that it can served and be interested with;

2. The number of coins or tokens that the dev team would be releasing to the market...take note of the possibility that the team can be hiding their own share; and

3. How good is the project team whether they have the experience that can make the project really successful.

Disscussion / Another SegWit in November?
« on: August 24, 2017, 10:31:25 AM »
I heard that there would be another hard fork this coming November and right now there seems to be a battle among people who are manning Bitcoin as to the details of that coming fork. Some are expecting that just what happened in August 1, we would be again be given another set of free coins.

One thing for sure, the Bitcoin community is really made up of humans who could not unite in one voice and is very dynamic that one minority group can disrupt the whole thing by creating its own path away from the decision of the majority.

Should we fear the November fork or will it just be another August 1?

Bitcoin Discussions / I Dream for Bitcoin to Go 500K
« on: August 22, 2017, 03:33:03 PM »
Last night, I had a dream: Bitcoin making it into the P500K level. That would make 1 Bitcoin is so huge and just 2 a piece can already make one a millionaire. I could already buy a small house and lot with that 500K here in the province or maybe a small farm where I can then literally retire.

What do you want to buy if Bitcoin will already be P500K?

9
I have something to confess. I still have to buy anything online (or even offline for that matter) using my Bitcoin. Except for buying ICOs of alternative coins/tokens, of course. It can be partly because I am holding on to my Bitcoin for the long haul and I don't want to waste it on anything I don't really need.

In other words, I am treating Bitcoin more as an investment rather than a currency that I can spend. And I think that this is a very good trend. Why? It is because it can encourage many people to actually save, right?

Disscussion / Many Alternative Coins Can Die
« on: August 22, 2017, 11:19:57 AM »
The success of Bitcoin as the premier and the biggest cryptocurrency became the catalyst for many to introduce many alternative coins. We are living in an open-source codes so anybody can just copy, revise some parts, innovate a little and do attractive marketing...and viola you have another altcoin in the horizon.

There is now a very big market for new coin/token as shown by the huge success of many new ICOs. It is as if there are really people who are ready to open up their purse and invest money even in projects still in idea stage.

However, many of these alternative coins can soon die because of lack of support and their failure to build a strong and loyal community.

Disscussion / Doing Bounty Campaigns for Alts?
« on: August 22, 2017, 11:15:37 AM »
I am doing some bounty campaigns for some new alternative coins and I think this is a good opportunity for people to earn some coins/tokens using their Facebook and Twitter accounts. I also have an account in the biggest Bitcoin forum and it is serving me well.

Are you interested to do bounty campaign? I am willing to guide anyone here who is hardworking enough and has the time needed to punch the keyboard and make so many posts in social media.

Believe it is all worth it!

I am sure you all have encountered the topic of Bitcoin bubble. It means to say that there would come a time when Bitcoin's value would eventually go down because it can be unsustainable. Based on history of so many financial bubbles in the history, many analysts concluded that Bitcoin will be no different.

But is Bitcoin really on the same league as those many bubbles in the history? Or do you think that Bitcoin is so different that it can be able to hold on to its many gains and not be a victim of a big bubble?

Bitcoin Discussions / Bitcoin Is Retreating
« on: August 22, 2017, 11:08:36 AM »
I am not sure what can be the underlying reasons why Bitcoin is currently retreating back to the $3,800 level. Is this because of the manipulation of some groups of whales who want to bring down Bitcoin a bit so they can buy more or is this a conspiracy to really put down Bitcoin so as to promote another coin?

Well, only time can tell what can be. As for me, I am hoping that this is just one of those traditional moves of Bitcoin before finally jumping to another bigger level.

Do you remain trustful of Bitcoin?

15
Bitcoin is a digital currency and just like the fiat money it can be a medium of exchange especially between a seller and a buyer in simplistic form and explanation. However, what is happening right now is that people are holding on to their Bitcoin and not spending too much because we are all anticipating its further rise in value...in other words we are all speculating.

That is why, for me Bitcoin is more like a gold which is the traditional safe haven. Gold are not being spent normally and they are just stored somewhere but there is no question of their intrinsic value.
